Sailing Back to the East Blue: MegaHouse P.O.P Playback Memories Nami Figure Review

Welcome back collectors to another One Piece figure review! Today we are turning back the clock and looking at a true classic with the stunning Portrait of Pirates Playback Memories Nami by MegaHouse. This fantastic line is dedicated to capturing the original, nostalgic looks of our favorite characters, and Nami’s early East Blue design is an absolute breath of fresh ocean air. Let's dive right into the aesthetics and see what makes this classic Cat Burglar a must-have for the shelf.

A Classic Thief with Endless Charm

The Playback Memories line totally nails the original vibe of the series, bringing Nami's very first iconic outfit to life with incredible precision. She is rocking her tight blue and white striped sailor-style shirt and that vibrant orange skirt featuring the classic white ring patterns on the hip. The sculpt work here is wonderfully dynamic without being over the top. You can really appreciate the natural pulling and folding of the fabric, especially where her right hand casually rests on her hip. The proportions are beautifully stylized, giving us that classic anime aesthetic we all fell in love with.

Two Faces of the Navigator

MegaHouse gives us some fantastic display options with interchangeable parts that completely change the mood of the figure. Her first portrait features a bright, confident open-mouth smile with those big, warm brown eyes looking forward. It perfectly captures her adventurous spirit. But if you want to display her mischievous side, the second faceplate is where the magic happens. Nami gives us a cheeky, playful wink with her tongue lightly poking out. Paired with her beautifully layered short orange hair, the expressions are lively, vibrant, and incredibly fun.

Tools of the Trade and Dynamic Display

Nami wouldn't be ready to sail without her gear. The figure comes with her classic wooden staff, which features a remarkably realistic wood grain texture running down its entire length. You can pose her with the staff casually slung over her shoulder, or resting easily on the ground beside her. To match that winking expression, she also comes with an interchangeable left hand flashing her signature money sign. Everything comes together on a fantastic, brightly colored orange octagonal base. The base is decorated with gold graphics featuring stacks of Berry coins, a little tangerine, and a ribbon displaying her name, tying the whole theme together perfectly.

Vibrant Colors and Flawless Aesthetics

The paint application on this piece is exactly what you expect from a high-end MegaHouse Portrait of Pirates release. The warm, soft gradients on her skin give her a gorgeous, healthy glow that contrasts beautifully against the crisp, clean lines of her blue and white shirt. The shading in her hair provides excellent depth, making the orange pop under any lighting. Moving down the figure, the shading on her vibrant skirt is incredibly smooth. The sculptors also clearly paid very close attention to her lower half, delivering beautifully smooth curves on her long legs and a tastefully alluring sculpt right beneath the hemline of her skirt. Finished off with her simple brown boots, the entire figure flows together seamlessly. It is a brilliant mix of cute, classic, and captivating that absolutely dominates any One Piece display.
