We need to have a little chat about the direction MegaHouse is taking for the upcoming year. Just when we thought we were gearing up for some fresh faces or updated sculpts in the Portrait of Pirates line, the latest announcements have thrown us a bit of a curveball. It looks like we are heading straight into a wave of nostalgia, or perhaps just a wave of re-releases, depending on how you look at it.
The Return of Poison Pink: Vinsmoke Reiju
First up on the docket is the Vinsmoke family's eldest daughter. MegaHouse has officially unveiled the product page for the Vinsmoke Reiju re-release. It has been about eight years since her original debut, and she is finally making her way back to store shelves. For those who missed her the first time around, this is your chance to secure the Germa 66 commander without paying aftermarket prices.
Reservations are set to start on January 9th. It is the same 2018 sculpt we know, bringing that classic design back into circulation. While it is always great to see a popular character become accessible again, seeing the "Limited Edition" label on a figure that is getting a widespread reprint does make you wonder about the terminology. It feels a little less "limited" when it circles back around like this, doesn't it?
The Barrier and The Spring: Bartolomeo and Bellamy Join the Wave
Reiju is not the only one getting a second wind. We have received news that the 2026 schedule is going to be heavy on the comebacks. Joining the Vinsmoke sister are two recognizable names from the Dressrosa arc. Bartolomeo, specifically the P.O.P Limited Edition version, and Bellamy the Hyena from the Sailing Again line are both scheduled to return.
This confirms that MegaHouse is planning a much larger reprint schedule for 2026 than we initially expected. For new collectors, this is genuinely a golden opportunity. These are figures that have been difficult to track down for a reasonable price, so filling those gaps in the shelf is about to get much easier.
The Mystery Fourth Figure and the Collector's Dilemma
To top it all off, rumors are swirling about a fourth, currently unknown reprint waiting in the wings. We are all holding our breath to see who it is. I am just crossing my fingers that it is not another Law variant, as much as we love him. We need a bit of variety here.
This news definitely brings mixed feelings. While the accessibility is fantastic for the community's growth, for those who have been collecting for years, it feels a bit like being stuck in a time loop. We want to move forward with new characters and fresh sculpts rather than revisiting the past. Hopefully, MegaHouse balances this heavy reprint focus with some exciting new announcements soon.
