Yesterday, I finally received my Rebecca Ver.BB after searching for the figure for many months at a decent price.
I was able to obtain an authentic sealed version for almost the same release price, which made me suspicious. Currently, this figure is very expensive, selling for up to five times the original release price. During my search for the bootleg version, I discovered a remarkably high-quality replica of Rebecca VerBB that could easily be mistaken for an official release.
Do you remember the great Carue bootleg from years ago? We're at that same level of quality in terms of the copy! However, don't worry, I can help you spot the differences quite easily.
Okay, here we go! First things first, let me show you the bootleg next to the official figure. As you can see, the quality is shocking! Hopefully, the bootleg doesn't resemble the official product too closely in certain aspects. So, let's start:
- Fingers and hand skin: On the bootleg, the fingers appear to be of poor quality, and the skin on her left arm is not well done. In comparison, the official figure should have well-defined and properly crafted fingers and smooth skin on all parts of the body.
- The red cheeks are missing: Bootleggers are just like their product; they don't understand the concept of shyness! The bootleg version does not have the red cheeks that are present on the authentic Rebecca figure.
- Smaller golden circles on the bikini: One distinguishing characteristic of the authentic Rebecca figure is the size of the golden circles on her bikini. On the bootleg, these circles may appear smaller or less well-defined compared to the official product. AND THIS IS THE BEST DETAIL TO USE!
- Messy edges of the ponytail: The bootleg replica may have messy or poorly finished edges on the ponytail. This is a noticeable detail, but you might not spot it unless you have the chance to unbox the figure before making a purchase.
I hope this information will be helpful to some of you. I really dislike seeing people being scammed.
