[ZOOM!] Vinsmoke Reiju Ver.02 - P.O.P Limited Edition

The Queen of Poison Returns… to Confuse Us All

Reiju is back with a second P.O.P figure, and while expectations were high, the result… let’s just say it sparked some debate. This isn’t the Raid Suit version fans were dreaming of. Instead, we get something more suggestive, more bizarre, and undeniably Megahouse in all its unpredictable glory. Say hello (or sigh hello) to Vinsmoke Reiju Ver.02 - P.O.P Limited Edition.

The Pose: Seduction or Confusion?

Reiju is sculpted in a kneeling pose, delicately (and quite suggestively) perched on what appears to be a pile of plush feathers. She’s touching her body in a way that leans more toward fan-service than finesse, and honestly, it’s hard to tell if she’s meant to be seductive, pained, or just very confused about her life choices.

It’s an odd presentation for such a stylish and powerful character. The body language, facial expression, and pose all lean a bit too hard into the “sexy” trope without fully committing to elegance or emotional weight. For a character who *owned* Whole Cake Island with poise and mystery, this feels like a missed opportunity.

Face the Facts: The Sculpt Misses the Mark

Let’s talk about the face. It’s not bad—but it’s definitely not *Reiju*. Her sharp gaze and sly smirk are toned way down, replaced by a soft, somewhat blank expression that doesn’t carry her usual confident mischief. Compared to the previous figure, this is a noticeable step back in terms of character likeness.

That said, her signature pink hair still shines. The flowing curls are well-sculpted and shaded beautifully, and the overall paintwork is clean and precise. The craftsmanship is there—the soul of the character, not so much.

Outfit & Details: Stylish but Out of Context

This version of Reiju rocks a highly revealing outfit that doesn’t appear in any canon arc. It’s a fantasy design clearly made with BB-style fans in mind. The sculpting is smooth, and the exaggerated curves are par for the course, but there’s no story anchoring the design—it’s pure aesthetic without narrative backing.

One interesting touch is the bandage wrapped around her left leg. Whether it’s meant to symbolize vulnerability or just serve as a spicy detail, it at least adds a bit of intrigue and texture to an otherwise context-free look.

The Base… Feather Pillow or Bird Nest?

Now let’s address the big feathery elephant in the room: the base. It’s some sort of fluffy, white, feathery platform—possibly angel wings? A sexy swan? A luxury pillow product gone rogue?

It’s eye-catching, for sure—but it adds to the randomness of the entire figure. Rather than enhancing the elegance or seduction, it makes the whole piece feel more tongue-in-cheek than iconic. It’s not bad per se, just… oddly placed. Like everything else here, it raises more questions than it answers.

The Verdict: A Pretty Miss, but a Miss Nonetheless

Vinsmoke Reiju Ver.02 is one of those figures that feels like it’s aimed at collectors who want something different—and not necessarily in a good way. While it has visual flair and clean craftsmanship, the out-of-character pose, questionable facial sculpt, and bizarre base turn what could have been a sleek follow-up into more of a “what were they thinking?” moment.

Is it sexy? Sure. Is it elegant? Not really. Is it collectible? For completionists, absolutely. But for the average fan—it’s more “why tho?” than “wow.”

Still, if you’re all-in on BB-style figures or just need more Reiju on your shelf, this might have some strange appeal. Just be ready to explain the feather nest when company comes over.
