Time for former admirals to get some lights! Aokiji Kuzan, who resigned from the Marines after a lost battle againt Akainu, is back from the big golden screen! Revealed for the first time in the One Piece Film: Z, Aokiji looks too much cooler than he was looking like before! You want to look closer to this figure? Click click!
The fourth figure of the Edition-Z series (Yes, it's not a Mugiwara crew member this time!) is another sculpt from Yuuki Ishiyama. Known for his high quality and picky details art, the artist is keeping his promises and continues making the perfect figure! Aokiji is amazing, complete and cool!
Kuzan is an incredibly tall, slim and muscular man. He has black, curly hair cut to chin length that fans out at the tips, tanned skin and an altogether lean, long built. He has also grown facial hair, namely, a thin mustache and a beard. Facial details are very clear and expressful.
The new outfit of Aokiji consists of a blue bandana and a dark green trench-coat along with black pants and a white deep V-neck shirt. He also now wears black cowboy boots and travels with a knapsack carrying his belongings along with his old pair of green round sunglasses. This new outfit is close enough to what Kuzan used to wore during the bombardement of Ohara. Is it meant ? Only Oda can answer it! Anyway, it's my own interpretation and analyse. The paintings on the clothes is amazing, gradients and shadows are smooth and give the figure more value when it's exposed to the light.
After his duel on Punk Hazard, Kuzan received several burn scars spanning from the right side of his neck down to his entire right shoulder and onto his torso. Despite the scars are impressive, they make me feel bad the point they look realistic, I hate that kind of scars and I can tell that they are so good that they look almost real!
Concerning the alternative pieces and gadgets, we've got 2 additional iced right arms, first one is simple, but the second is equiped with an impressive sword and ice forms for a dynamic effect for the statue. And because we're lucky, we've got a bottle of wine for his left hand! That epic last moment of the film when Aokiji was seen at Zephyr's grave, telling Ain and Binz that he died like he wanted to...
