[ZOOM!] Bartolomeo Kai Ver. - P.O.P Limited Edition

Bartolomeo KAI Ver. – The Punk Returns... with a Bubble?

Here it is, guys! The infamous fanboy punk is back, and this time it's the Bartolomeo KAI Ver. - P.O.P Limited Edition. After the crazy aftermarket prices of the first version skyrocketed, Megahouse swooped in with this second release. Why "KAI"? No clue. But hey, at least now fans who missed out the first time around have another shot.

What’s New: Ballin’ with Bari Bari

The big change with this version? Say goodbye to the iconic crossed-fingers pose and say hello to the Bari Bari no Pistol effect—represented with a transparent spherical barrier. Visually, it’s a cool idea. The clear plastic orb looks nice and reflects light well, creating an illusion of power and tension. However, it’s hard not to miss the old pose. That cocky, defiant finger-cross was Bartolomeo's whole vibe. The new one? A little less “punk attitude” and a little more “alternate accessories.”

Aesthetic Check: Still Loud, Still Proud

Aside from the new barrier gadget and arm parts, the rest of the figure remains virtually untouched. Same color palette, same base, same outfit—Megahouse kept the neon punk rocker style intact. Bartolomeo's green spiked hair, the red fur collar, the grimy boots, and his smug face all scream chaotic charisma. The sculpt still delivers those exaggerated expressions and sharp detailing that made the original a hit.

That said, this version feels more like a parts swap than a fresh release. While the barrier is cool, it lacks the dramatic flair a real attack pose might have delivered. A reimagined dynamic sculpt with Bartolomeo mid-action would’ve been fire. Instead, we got a “lite” remix of the original with fewer cool parts and a new plastic bubble. It’s not bad, just not as bold as we’d like.

Final Thoughts: Worth It?

If you’re a diehard Bartolomeo fan or a P.O.P completist, this figure is a solid pickup—especially if you skipped or couldn’t afford the first one. But if you already own the OG version, this one feels like a watered-down variation with a gimmick. It’s visually loud and aesthetically consistent, but it doesn’t hit quite as hard without those crossed fingers. Still, it’s Barto... and any Barto is better than no Barto.
