This version of Ace takes the iconic “Marineford” pose we know and love and dials the visual impact up to eleven with a full metallic repaint—on his clothes and accessories, that is. His hat, belt, boots, and dagger are all given a glossy, chrome-like treatment that makes them pop with intensity, while his skin tone and body remain identical to the original Neo-DX release. It’s like Megahouse gave his gear a molten makeover straight from the battlefield.

Sculpt Still Sizzles

The pose remains a fan favorite: Ace with his right arm raised mid-flame, the other casually resting on his waist. His cocky smirk, fiery tattoos, and gravity-defying necklace are all here, sculpted with care and amplified by the reflective paint job. It’s not just a repaint—it feels like a celebration of everything that made this figure iconic in the first place.

History in the Making

This ultra-limited edition was released by Lawson in early 2011, part of a high-tech marketing campaign that fused augmented reality with real-world treasure hunting. Participants had to download a Lawson ARG One Piece app, track down real shops using a Log Pose on their iPhone 3GS/4, buy eligible snacks like onigiri, and collect digital “stamps” by entering codes from receipts. Once you had five, you could enter a lottery—and only 100 lucky fans walked away with Ace in metallic glory.

Curiously, despite being such a rare release, this figure doesn’t carry the “Excellent Model LIMITED” stamp on the box—just the regular logo.
