One Piece Voice Actor Takkou Ishimori Passes Away

Takkō Ishimori (石森達幸 Ishimori Takkō), voice of Fleet Admiral Sengoku, passed away on Friday morning at an age of 81 years old. The Japanese voice actor was from Nagasaki, Japan and was born on January 11, 1932...

He was attached to the talent agency Arts Vision, and debuted in 1960. He was one of the founding members of Theater Echo. Takkō Ishimori was also known for his roles as Yoshimune in Buzzer Beater, Chang Ang in Magic Knight Rayearth 2, and the king of Xerxes in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Outside of anime, he also played Ranzō Fujibayashi in the PSP version of Tales of Phantasia, the Sorting Hat in the Japanese dub of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and Bashful in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
